Trans-Digi supplied a 132 kW Himel HASXS Expert Series Soft Starter for the fire pump system at the Kim Chuan Depot Extension, including parameter configuration, testing and commissioning.

The scope of supply also included Himel HDC3 Series Contactors, HDM Series Moulded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs) and HDB Series Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs) in 2025, supporting the fire pump installation's motor starting, electrical switching and circuit protection requirements.

Project Overview

The Kim Chuan Depot Extension incorporates essential fire protection infrastructure serving the underground rail and bus facility. Its fire pump system required motor starting, electrical switching and circuit protection equipment suited to the application's operational requirements.

As part of the facility's critical fire protection infrastructure, the electrical installation required appropriately selected components to support dependable motor operation and electrical system protection.

Trans-Digi supported the project by supplying motor control and protection equipment for the fire pump electrical installation.

Solution Provided

Trans-Digi supplied a 132 kW Himel HASXS Expert Series Soft Starter for the fire pump system, providing controlled motor acceleration while helping to limit starting current and mechanical stress.

The soft starter underwent parameter configuration, testing and commissioning to suit the fire pump application's operational requirements before project handover.

In 2025, Trans-Digi also supplied Himel HDC3 Series Contactors, HDM Series MCCBs and HDB Series MCBs, supporting electrical switching, motor control and circuit protection requirements within the fire pump installation.
