Who we are

Trans-Digi Global Pte Ltd ("Trans-Digi Global", "we", "us") is a Singapore-incorporated company supplying variable speed drives, soft starters and control gear. Our registered address is 12 Woodlands Square, Tower 1, #08-66, Singapore 737715.

This policy explains how we handle personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (the "PDPA"). It applies to this website and to our dealings with customers, suppliers, job applicants and other business contacts.

What we collect

We collect only what we need in order to respond to you and do business with you. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact details — name, company, job title, email address, telephone number and business address
  • Enquiry content — the technical details, specifications, drawings or documents you send us as part of a quotation request
  • Transaction records — orders, quotations, delivery details and correspondence
  • Recruitment data — CVs and supporting information sent to us by job applicants
  • Website usage data — basic technical information such as browser type, device type and pages viewed, collected in aggregate

How we use it

We use personal data to:

  • respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and process orders
  • provide installation, commissioning, warranty and after-sales support
  • send you technical documentation you have requested
  • send newsletters and product updates where you have subscribed
  • assess job applications
  • meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations

We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for purposes unrelated to those set out above without seeking your consent.

Newsletter and marketing

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send product updates, technical content and company news. Every message includes an unsubscribe option, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time by emailing enquiry@transdg.com.

Disclosure to third parties

We may disclose personal data to third parties where it is necessary to deliver what you have asked for, including:

  • manufacturers and authorised distributors, in order to source product, register warranty or escalate a technical query
  • logistics and delivery providers
  • professional advisers, auditors and IT service providers acting on our behalf
  • government agencies or regulators where we are required to do so by law

Where a third party processes personal data on our behalf, we require them to protect it to a standard consistent with the PDPA.

Transfers outside Singapore

Some of our manufacturing partners and service providers are located outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred out of Singapore, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to that required under the PDPA.

Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as we are required to keep it for legal, tax or accounting reasons. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Security

We apply reasonable administrative, physical and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

This website may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working correctly and to understand, in aggregate, how it is used. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling them may affect how parts of the site function.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may:

  • request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • request correction of personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • withdraw consent to our continued use of your personal data

We will respond to requests within a reasonable time. Withdrawing consent may mean we are no longer able to provide certain services to you, and we will tell you if that is the case.
