Singapore Land Group engaged Trans-Digi to provide standby soft starters for the chilled-water and condenser-water systems at Gateway East. Trans-Digi supplied more than 10 Himel HASXS Soft Starters, ranging from 37 kW to 55 kW, together with testing and commissioning for the project.
Project Overview
Gateway East required standby motor starters for the chilled-water and condenser-water systems serving the office building.
A key requirement was ensuring that the new soft starters could reliably start the existing motors, which had been in service for more than 10 years, while allowing the client to retain the installed motor assets.
Solution Provided
Trans-Digi supplied more than 10 Himel HASXS Soft Starters across a power range of 37 kW to 55 kW for the standby starting application.
Testing and commissioning were carried out to verify that the installed soft starters could correctly start the existing chilled-water and condenser-water system motors before successful project handover.

Project Outcome
The Gateway East project adds a completed commercial soft starter application to Trans-Digi’s portfolio. More than 10 Himel HASXS Soft Starters were supplied as standby starters for the chilled-water and condenser-water systems, with testing and commissioning carried out to verify compatibility with existing motors that had been in service for more than 10 years before successful project handover.
